who we

are

John Rayner (1928-1990) and his wife, Juliet, decided to form a Charitable Trust in 1985 in memory of their son Simeon, who was killed in a road accident.

This trust was primarily to help children and young people who were deprived or in difficulty.  In 1989 when John knew he was dying of cancer he created another trust, the John Rayner Charitable Trust, whose remit was wider reaching.

In 1992 the trustees of both trusts, his wife and 2 surviving children, decided to combine the trusts under the umbrella JRCT to include the aims and ideals of both.

His 6 grandchildren are now taking an active role in the Trust so the legacy will live on.
